Vanishing Point

Car delivery driver Kowalski takes on a seemingly impossible challenge: driving a souped-up 1970 Dodge Challenger from Denver to San Francisco in under 15 hours, all while being pursued by the police and navigating a psychedelic landscape of 1970s counterculture. As he drives across three states, Kowalski's past is revealed through flashbacks, including his time as a Medal of Honor Vietnam War veteran, former race car driver, and motorcycle racer who was expelled from the police force after preventing a rape. With the help of a mysterious radio DJ known as "Super Soul," Kowalski gains the support of the public and becomes an unlikely hero, but ultimately meets a fiery end when he crashes into a roadblock in California.
