Indian Horse

The film "Indian Horse" (2017) tells the powerful true story of Saul Indian Horse, a young Canadian First Nations boy who survives Canada's Indian residential school system to become a star ice hockey player. Born into a Christian family, Saul is forced to flee with his grandmother deep into the wilderness after being abandoned by his parents. Abused and mistreated at the hands of the nuns and priests at the residential school, Saul finds solace in hockey and becomes an exceptional player. But as he navigates the pressures of fame and the harsh realities of racism, Saul must confront the trauma of his past and find a path towards healing and redemption.
