Scottish Mussel

Scottish Mussel follows Ritchie (Martin Compston), a Glaswegian criminal, as he poaches freshwater pearl mussels from rivers in the Highlands of Scotland and falls in love with Beth, a conservationist (Talulah Riley). As they navigate their feelings for each other, they must contend with threats from Glasgow mobster Gavin (Stephen O'Donnell) and Ukrainian gangsters. Ritchie learns to appreciate the wildlife around him, including mussels, as he tries to win Beth's heart and save the Highlands from ecological disaster.
