Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist

In 1944, Nazi SS Lieutenant Kessel forces a parish priest to participate in arbitrary executions in retaliation for the murder of a German trooper, in exchange for sparing his village. Years later, Father Merrin, now an archaeologist, becomes embroiled in a mysterious possession case in Derati, Kenya, where he discovers a hidden passageway leading to an underground temple containing a demonic idol. As he delves deeper into the mystery, Merrin must confront his own faith and struggle with his past when a demon offers him a chance to rewrite history, threatening to unleash chaos on the world.
