The Other Side of the Wind

The film opens by describing the final day in the life of aging Hollywood director J.J. 'Jake' Hannaford (John Huston), who is trying to revive his waning career by making an experimental film. At a media-swamped party celebrating his 70th birthday and screening his unfinished latest project, Hannaford faces voracious fans and unsettling questions about what became of his lead actor, John Dale. Peter Bogdanovich plays Brooks Otterlake, a young director who had been a protégé of Hannaford's.
