The Cowboys

Wil Andersen, played by John Wayne, is forced to hire a group of schoolboys, including Cimarron and Slim, to help him drive his cattle to market after his usual hands leave for the gold fields in Montana's 1878 cattle drive. As they journey together, the boys learn valuable skills under Andersen's tutelage, but also face a gang of thieves led by Asa Watts who are stalking their herd. The boys ultimately avenge Andersen's death and bring justice to those responsible, marking a transformative journey for them as they become more than just schoolboys.
