Runaway Bride

Julia Roberts stars as Maggie Carpenter, a woman branded "the runaway bride" by jaded New York journalist Ike Graham (Richard Gere), who travels to her hometown of Hale, Maryland, to write an article about her upcoming fourth wedding – only to fall for this breathtaking heartbreaker. As Ike gets to know Maggie, he uses her feedback to improve his own life, and they grow closer despite their initial differences. However, when the big wedding day arrives, Maggie gets cold feet and flees, leading Ike on a wild chase through town.
