In 15th century Wallachia and Transylvania, Vlad Dracula, a feared warrior and prince, must form an army to protect his family when Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II demands tribute of boys from him. Desperate to save his son, Vlad turns to dark forces and becomes the mythological vampire, Dracula, in this origin story that reimagines the title character's transformation into his monstrous alter ego.
