Dead Ringers

Identical twin gynaecologists Beverly and Elliott Mantle (Jeremy Irons) run a high-end fertility clinic in Toronto. Both men are successful, but their different personalities create an imbalance when Beverly falls deeply in love with patient Claire Niveau. As Beverly becomes emotionally attached to Claire, his stability deteriorates, leading to paranoia, drug abuse, and delusions about "mutant women." The twins' positions become reversed, with Beverly caring for Elliot, who is despondent and intoxicated. In a tragic turn of events, Beverly kills Elliot during their drug-induced delirium and later dies in Elliot's arms.
