The Preacher's Wife

Reverend Henry Biggs is the pastor of a small struggling African American Baptist church in a poverty-stricken neighborhood of New York City. His marriage to choir mistress Julia is flagging due to his constant absence caring for their community, while his church faces an existential crisis due to a greedy property developer's plans to sell its land. Desperate for help, Biggs prays to God, which arrives in the form of Dudley, a witty and debonair angel who quickly charms Julia but tests Henry's faith and priorities.
