Astral

"A detached university student faces the consequences of astral projection when he uses it to reconnect with his dead mother, only to discover that the spirits he's trying to contact are malevolent entities vying to enter their world. As the dark shadow figures become more human-like, Alex and his friends realize they're being besieged by a demon known as Asmodeus, whose influence drives the student to paranoia and terror. The film takes a surprising turn when Alex uncovers a dark family secret that reveals his mother was not the victim she seemed. With its low budget and short production time, Astral is a tense, if somewhat derivative, horror thriller that tests the boundaries of astral projection."
