Meera Sahni (Diana Penty), a shy and traditional Indian girl, leaves her family in India to live in London with her husband Kunal Ahuja (Randeep Hooda). She meets Gautam Kapoor (Saif Ali Khan), a shameless flirt and playboy who hits on her and asks her out. Meera searches for Kunal and finally finds him, but he's angry to see her. There, she meets Veronica (Deepika Padukone), an aimless party girl who helps Meera after being weeping in the bathroom. As they spend more time together, Gautam develops feelings for both girls, leading to a complicated love triangle. Eventually, Gautam proposes to Meera with Veronica's help, and they become best friends again, while Gautam's mother and brother try to intervene in his relationships.
