1987: When the Day Comes

In 1987 Korea under an oppressive military regime, a student's unlawful interrogation and death spark ordinary citizens to fight for the truth and bring about justice. The film focuses on the events that led up to the June Democratic Uprising in Korea, triggered by the death of a student protester during police interrogation, which the authorities conspired to cover up. With its focus shifting between several characters, the film conveys the collective effort of political resistance.
