Nate Johnson (Cedric the Entertainer), a Los Angeles man estranged from his wife and three children, decides to reconnect with his family by taking them on a road trip to Missouri for a big family reunion. Along the way, they encounter various misadventures, including a semi-truck attempting to run them off the road, a casino mix-up, and a hitchhiker named Christelle who brings chaos to their journey.
