Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa is an American actor and filmmaker born on August 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He made his acting debut as Jason Ioane on Baywatch: Hawaii (1999–2001) and later portrayed Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones (2011–2012). Since 2016, Momoa has played the lead role of Arthur Curry/Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe, headlining the eponymous 2018 film and its 2023 sequel.
