Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry), the CEO of a family-owned corporation, befriends a cleaning lady named Lindsey Wakefield (Thandiwe Newton) and falls for her despite their class differences. He takes pity on Lindsey's struggling single mother life and Ariel, her six-year-old daughter, who is homeless after being evicted from their apartment. As Wesley spends more time with Lindsey and Ariel, he begins to break free from his predictable routine and explores a new sense of freedom and connection.
