The Jazz Singer, directed by Richard Fleischer, is a remake of the 1925 play about Yussel Rabinovitch, a young singer torn between tradition and pursuing his dreams as a pop singer. Based on the story of a young man who leaves his faith to become a jazz singer, this musical drama stars Neil Diamond in his acting debut alongside Laurence Olivier and Lucie Arnaz.
