In this 1984 adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel Tarzan of the Apes, Lord John Clayton, heir to the 6th Earl of Greystoke, is stranded in the African jungle with his pregnant wife after a shipping disaster. After their parents are killed by apes, a female ape adopts the infant boy and raises him as her own, eventually becoming known as Tarzan. Twenty years later, Captain Phillippe d'Arnot discovers Tarzan, who believes he is an ape, and sets out to return him to civilization, leading to a clash between Tarzan's wild nature and his newfound humanity. 🎬 Enhanced by REEL
