A lavishly coloured tale of ancient Rome, "The Robe" follows Marcellus Gallio, a Roman military tribune, as he commands the unit responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus. After purchasing the legendary robe from the body of Christ at Calvary, Marcellus experiences disturbing visions and feels guilty for his actions.
