In "Don't Sting the Mosquito" (1967), Rita Pavone stars as Rita Santangelo, a vivacious co-ed who flees her boarding school and teams up with her music teacher Paolo Randi (Giancarlo Giannini) to pursue her singing dreams. When her father blocks their plans, Rita's mother helps her escape, and together they head to Sestriere for a chance at TV stardom. Her father kidnaps Rita, but she's saved by her mother, who takes her place in the show, allowing Paolo to find love and success alongside his music partner.
