In this campy, rubbery fantasy adventure, an eclectic group of characters set sail on a leaky cargo ship in an attempt to escape their various troubles, only to find themselves trapped in a mysterious Sargasso Sea surrounded by killer seaweed, murderous crustaceans and Spanish conquistadors who believe it’s still the 16th century. As they battle for survival against these prehistoric threats, they discover a hidden island that holds secrets of its own - including an ancient time warp where they must confront despotic conquerors and treacherous sea monsters. With its incoherent screenplay, auto-cue acting, and obligatory cleavage, "The Lost Continent" is a weird and wacky slice of Hammer Films' psychotronic output.
