In the 1991 sci-fi horror film "The Borrower," an alien serial killer is sent to Earth as punishment and experiences a body transformation that's incomplete, causing his head to explode every few hours. The alien must "borrow" heads from humans by squeezing them off with a claw and attaching them to its neck. Detectives Diana Pierce (Rae Dawn Chong) and Charles Krieger (Don Gordon) investigate the gruesome murders, trying to figure out that they're facing an unearthly killer.
