Marty McFly and his friend Doc Brown travel from 1985 to 2015 to prevent their future son's tarnished family future, but their arch-nemesis Biff Tannen steals the DeLorean time machine and uses it to alter history for his benefit. The duo must return to 1955 to set things right, facing a dystopian Hill Valley that has been destroyed by Biff's corrupt influence.
