A 1950 American Cinecolor Western film, "The Nevadan" stars Randolph Scott as Andrew Barclay, a U.S. Marshal who arranges the escape of outlaw Tom Tanner (Forrest Tucker) to retrieve $250,000 in stolen gold. On their journey, they encounter brothers Jeff and Bart, who demand the map at gunpoint, but Barclay disarms them instead. The men team up with Karen Galt (Dorothy Malone), the beautiful daughter of a greedy rancher Edward Galt (George Macready), as they outsmart and evade his henchmen in their pursuit of the gold.
