Forrest Tucker
Biography
Forrest Meredith Tucker was a farm boy from Plainfield, Indiana, who began his performing career at age 14 at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. He won amateur contests and eventually landed a job as Master of Ceremonies at the Old Gaiety Burlesque Theater in Washington, D.C., before breaking into film acting with a successful screen test. Tucker went on to appear in nearly a hundred films, including Westerns and action roles.
