Two young kids in love, Danny (Ike Eisenmann) and Teresa (Trini Alvarado), find trouble on the mean streets of New York City, where Officer Charlie Banks (Paul Winfield) crosses paths with them. Instead of turning them in, he gives both teens a chance to make more of their lives together, but changing their ways proves to be more challenging than first thought.
