Widower Harry Keach, a construction worker from South Florida, is forced to reevaluate his life when he loses his job and his son Howard's antics become too much to bear. As Harry's world begins to change, he finds himself drawn back into the relationships around him, including a visit with his widowed neighbor Lilly Wilowski who harbors a long-standing love for him. Ultimately, Harry experiences a bittersweet journey of discovery and acceptance, but one that is tragically cut short by a sudden turn of events.
