As Magdalena (Emily Rios) prepares for her 15th birthday celebration, she discovers that she's pregnant and is forced to leave her family due to societal pressures and family secrets. She finds a new home with her great-uncle Tio Tomas (Chalo González) and gay cousin Carlos (Jesse García), who also struggles with his own identity as a gay man living in gentrifying Echo Park, Los Angeles. As Magdalena navigates her pregnancy and her relationships with those around her, she ultimately receives the quinceañera celebration she's always dreamed of, complete with a Hummer limousine, with her new family by her side.
