In this hilarious comedy sequel to Buck Privates, Abbott and Costello return as Herbie Brown and Slicker Smith, two ex-soldiers trying to navigate life after war. When they inadvertently smuggle a French orphan girl onto the troop ship back to the US, chaos ensues as they attempt to adopt her, evade their old nemesis, Sgt. Collins, who's determined to catch them and get himself reinstated with the police department. Along the way, they get entangled in a midget car racing scheme that leads to a wild chase through New York City streets, ultimately securing Bill Gregory's financial future and finding love and happiness for the trio.
