Donald Hugh MacBride was a prominent American character actor who began his career as a teenage singer in vaudeville, launching into stage acting and eventually transitioning to films and television. He gained notoriety for his portrayal of detectives in crime films, including notable roles in Topper Returns and The Killers. A versatile performer with over 140 film credits, MacBride also appeared on TV's My Friend Irma.
