A 1980 American comedy film starring Marty Feldman and Andy Kaufman as con artist Dr. Sebastian Melmoth and televangelist Armageddon T. Thunderbird, respectively, about a naive monk sent to Hollywood to raise $5,000 for his monastery's survival, who befriends Melmoth and gets caught up in the televangelist's schemes.
