In this 1971 Danish drama film, a gorgeous Danish stewardess named Christa flirts her way through a series of relationships with wealthy and reckless men, including an Italian businessman, an American artist, and a French conductor, while secretly searching for a marriage that will accept both herself and her young son. As she navigates the complexities of love, sex, and identity, a private detective follows her, uncovering secrets about Christa's past and the true nature of her relationships. Ultimately, Christa finds love with a London lawyer, but is forced to end their engagement when Torben, the wealthy heir who fathered her son, attempts to use his financial resources and influence to gain custody.
