In a delightful cartoon of chaos and mayhem, a small kitten is tormented by a mean bulldog until he meets his match in a bowler hat-wearing, cigar-chomping black cat who offers to protect him with a guarantee of bad luck for anyone crossing their paths. With a whistle as his trusty tool, the black cat proves to be a formidable foe, foiling the bulldog's every attempt to attack the kitten - and the bulldog's own attempts at revenge. In the end, it takes a clever trick involving paint and a bit of bad luck to bring the bully down, leaving our hero a happy and confident feline with a newfound purpose in life as a bad luck cat.
