In the 1984 TV film "The Boy Who Loved Trolls," Paul (Matt Dill) embarks on a quest to find real-life trolls after reading about them in his favorite story. He eventually meets Ofoeti (Sam Waterston), a troll who introduces him to friends Kalotte (Susan Anton), a mermaid, and Socrates (Paul Gertner), a talking turtle. As Paul learns that Ofoeti is dying and needs help saving the mermaid's home from an evil bridge builder, he must decide if he has what it takes to risk everything for his new friends.
