Owen Whitmore (Zachary Ray Sherman) is haunted by nightmares, and when a woman found dead in his hometown is killed in the same manner as his worst fears, he seeks the help of Dr. Jonas Julian (Ron Perlman), a specialist in dream analysis. Meanwhile, Owen's life is further complicated by his decision to leave his medical school and his sweetheart, Maggie (Haley Hudson), and his parents' (Lin Shaye and Richard Portnow) growing concern for his well-being.
