Monica Zanchi, a Swiss actress born in Bern, Switzerland, spent her early years in Bergamo, Italy, where she began hitchhiking at 15 and traveled to various European destinations before settling into an acting career in Italian exploitation films, including "Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals" and "Sister Emanuelle". She also pursued a music career under the pseudonym Angie Bee. Zanchi's roles often featured strong female characters with a rebellious edge.
