Biography

Takamaru Sasaki was a renowned Japanese playwright, director, and actor born in 1898 and passed away on December 28, 1986. A pioneer of the left-wing literary movement, he co-founded a groundbreaking magazine in 1921 that featured Esperanto. Sasaki also translated works from Japanese into both languages and wrote memoirs in Japanese and Esperanto, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the Esperanto community through his activism for nearly seven decades.
