Tōru Yuri

Biography

Tōru Yuri was a Japanese comedian and actor known for his work in improv comedy, particularly as part of the "脱線トリオ" (Slip-Up Trio). Born Ōtani Kiyorō in 1921, he began performing at a young age and eventually joined the theater company Muuan Lurijū in 1940. Yuri's breakthrough came with his film roles, including "Truck Rascals" in 1975, cementing his status as a beloved comedian in Japanese entertainment.
