Valentina Pugachova

Biography

Valentina Pugachova was born on May 14, 1935, in Malynovka, Ukraine, to a military family. Her family relocated to Leningrad during World War II when she was five years old. Valentina graduated from the VGIK acting faculty in 1958 and began her career at Lenfilm Studio, where she worked until its dissolution in the late 1990s. She is perhaps best known for her role as Zina in the 1956 film "Vesna na Zarechnoy ulitse".
