He earned his black belt in karate from Chuck Norris after training under Champion Martial Artist Mr. Chip Wright at the Bob Borrow Karate Studio. Following his move to Hollywood in 1986, he began pursuing an acting career, landing lead roles in films such as "Trained to Fight," "Showdown," and "Guardian Angel."
