Paul Frederic Simon is an American musician and actor born on October 13, 1941. As half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, he achieved fame in the 1960s with hits like "The Sound of Silence" and "Mrs. Robinson," while their final album Bridge over Troubled Water (1970) remains among the best-selling of all time. Simon has also explored solo work, incorporating genres like gospel, reggae, and soul into his music.
