Janet Wright

Biography

Janet Wright was a talented English-born Canadian actress and theatre director born in 1945 in England. Raised in a family of theatre actors, she co-founded the Persephone Theatre company in Saskatoon with her sister Susan and went on to appear in numerous productions at the Vancouver Arts Club Theatre and Stratford Festival. She gained recognition for her role as Emma Leroy in the Canadian sitcom Corner Gas, among other notable performances in film and television.
