American Gothic

When six friends fly off on a weekend getaway and are suddenly plagued by engine trouble, they're forced to land on a remote island where an eccentric family is waiting - an invitation that quickly turns into a terrifying race for survival as the friends start disappearing one by one and turning up dead. The film follows a group of travelers who become stranded on an island in the Puget Sound, only to find themselves in the clutches of a demented family of murderers. A co-production between Canada and the United Kingdom, American Gothic was filmed on Bowen Island, British Columbia, and stars Rod Steiger and Yvonne De Carlo as the sinister Ma and Pa at the center of the horror.
