Biography

Ichikawa Ebizo XI was a Kabuki actor and stage producer, known for his iconic role as Sen no Rikyu in the 2013 film "Ask This of Rikyu". Born into the Ichikawa family, he is the eldest son and successor of kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjūrō XII. As a tachiyaku specializing in aragoto roles, Ebizo XI carried on his family's legacy, which dates back to 1660.
