Biography

Philip Tonge was a child actor who made his stage debut at five, performing alongside notable figures such as Henry Irving and Ellen Terry. Following World War I, he settled in the US with his parents and pursued a successful acting career on Broadway, starring in nine Noël Coward plays. He also appeared in films like Miracle on 34th Street, Hans Christian Andersen, and Witness for the Prosecution.
