Noel Ferrier was a renowned Australian television personality, actor, and producer who enjoyed a distinguished career spanning over five decades. He created the role of 'Roo' in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and hosted In Melbourne Tonight from 1963 to 1965, earning a Logie Award for Most Popular Program. A prolific character actor, Ferrier appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including Riptide, Skippy, and Homicide, and won the award for Best Australian Comedy with Australia A-Z in 1971.
