Parviz Sayyad, born on March 22, 1939, in Lahijan, Pahlavi Iran, was an Iranian-born American celebrated actor, director, and screenwriter of Iranian cinema. He rose to fame starring in the television series Octopus (1975) as a well-mannered, diplomatic character, and later became a prominent comedic icon with his role as Samad Agha in various film and television adaptations. Sayyad's career spanned multiple mediums, including plays, films, and television series.
