John Lloyd Cruz is a Filipino actor and one of the most awarded in the industry, known as the "King of Contemporary Cinema." With over 80 awards won, including two FAMAS Awards and three Gawad Urian Awards, he has top-billed several box-office successes. He made his breakthrough role on the soap opera Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay (2002–2003) at age 15 and has since appeared in numerous productions, including Tabing Ilog (1999–2003).
