Fred Haltiner was a Swiss actor born on December 15, 1936, in Rhäzüns, Graubünden. He gained recognition for his role as Johann Ritter in the 1971 film "Le Mans," alongside Steve McQueen. Before becoming an actor, Haltiner worked as a Versicherungsinspektor and attended the Zürcher Schauspielschule, where he achieved his breakthrough. Tragically, Haltiner took his own life on December 7, 1973, in Zurich.
