Le Mans

The film "Le Mans" is a documentary-style depiction of the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race, featuring Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney, a Porsche driver haunted by the memory of an accident at the previous year's race where a competing driver was killed. As Delaney navigates the race, he finds himself increasingly infatuated with the widow of his late rival, Lisa Belgetti (Elga Andersen), who appears to feel Delaney was responsible for her husband's death. Meanwhile, Johann Ritter (Fred Haltiner) struggles with the decision to quit racing after a conversation with his wife Anna, and team manager David Townsend encourages Delaney to drive flat out and secure Porsche's win.
